Since Floyd and Pac aint happening anytime soon, Do you think Cotto would be a plan C or even B for Floyd. Cotto's a smaller threat than Martinez, and has a way bigger following. What do you guys think?
Do you think Floyd would try land a fight w/ Cotto now he's got a strap @ 154?

Why not, all Arum cares for is Money.. If Pac/Floyd cannot be made, and Floyd does want Cotto, then why throw away millions. If Arum feels Cotto would lose anyway, than all the more reason for him to make the cotto/floyd fight first then the pac/floyd after.Last edited by kymira; 06-06-2010, 12:41 AM.Comment

As far as belts go, Floyd already won a belt at 154, he doesn't need it.
Now a belt at MW, yeah, he can use that.
What Floyd needs is big fights against big names.
Pac and Martinez are my top two choices.
Pac "P4P" #1 and Martinez, MW Champion.
Pac would be huge for both money and legacy and Martinez, new territory/new belt and good for legacy (with very good money of course too).Last edited by Benny Leonard; 06-06-2010, 12:41 AM.Comment

Obviously Pac is the first choice. But if that doent happen, Cottos a way bigger draw than Matinez and a more winnable fight at that.As far as belts go, Floyd already won a belt at 154, he doesn't need it.

Seriously, getting past the grudge between the two, They both know it benefits both parties. It lines Top ranks pocket w/more $$ and it gives Floyd an easier fight w/ a bigger name. Seriously who else is Floyd gonna fight that has a real following and will generate ppv buys.Comment
