I think cotto would out class him in the first 6 rounds becasue cotto is the better fighter and Paul is real easy to hit but paul constant pressure might be to much for cotto towards the end of the fight

Williams loves to trade punches and get into little brawls, but If he uses his much longer reach he could jab himself to an easy win. Cotto would have to work much harder than he did tonight to get inside, but once there it would be a field day for Cotto.

I still think it would be Williams by a close UD though.

Cotto left hook to the body would floor Paul Williams who does not like to get hit to the body.

If they fight, I have Cotto by stoppage.

Fortunate fight for Williams once again.

If Cotto cant hurt Williams early then Williams by decision. Even though Cotto has superior skills I think he will wear down.

I'm a die hard Cotto fan, but I have to see more of him at 154 to make such a prediction.

Having said that, I'm not all that impressed by Williams, to me he's lost his last two fights and has lost some of his luster. He was getting outboxed by the crybaby...

I think that this fight would be a big dramatic fight for Cotto once again, on which he takes the first couple of rounds boxing beatifully and making Williams look like a bum most of the time he faces someone more athletic than him, which is always since he's a freak of nature, and for Cotto to fight a guy who's way bigger than his nightmare with an even freakishly higher rate will take an unexpected toll on his tank during the middle rounds and that's when Williams will take over and make him fold, unfortunately.

Anyone can say that Williams love fighting smaller guys but the thing is that he has shown that he can make the weight across three weight classes and the most competition is at 147 which a lot of critics are doubting he can still make because he's so damn big, but to get to the point he can still do his thing and not stop throwing punches for the rest of the fight at any of these weight classes when you don't see many boxers passing the 6 feet mark and 80" in reach around from 147 through 154 or even at middle, so that always will take an unexpected toll on a fighter who's not used to fight a boxer this big on top of that Williams manages to be a freak and still throw non stop combinations like he's Pacquiao or something.

IMO he should fight Martinez instead of Cotto, he already lost the first one against Sergio, and I'm pretty sure that if Sergio chooses to box and give him a lot of his lateral movement and picks his spots while making him miss instead of going to war so early, he will school Williams, guaranteed.
