Boring ass fight. Neither was aggressive and I ended up being unimpressed by both.

Good win by Vanes. Yuri Foreman and Vanes Martirosyan almost have the same style in boxing but, with one big difference. Vanes hits much harder than Yuri. He got knockout power with both hands. He snapped back the head of not so mean Joe Greene everytime he throws his left and right straight punches. He also hurt Greene with body punches. Right now, I think he will have no trouble in beating Cotto, Foreman, Margarito, and Martinez. A fight with Williams would be 50/50 though.

Greene needs Roy Jones jr to train him, Jones was right on all night.

Greene needs to become what he should be already a right handed fighter instead of that fake southpaw crap. His left hand is weak b/c he's not a natural.

Fight was not all that, but Vanes looked good. Faught a cautious fight this time around which means hes alot more wise in the boxing game now. Wasnt getting out of control like he has mostly in the past. Greene wasn't really bringing it too much but he took some mean straight shots from Vanes. Gotta hand it too him for staying up because Vanes DOES hit hard. I think Vanes might be ready for bigger names now, but Im not sure if he will beat most of them of them. 154lb kingpin Sergio Martinez will beat his ass if they fight anytime soon. Martinez is strong, slick, aggressive, and a southpaw! Good job on the win Vanes!

I was honestly just disapointed with this fight. Greene looked amatuerish at times. I thought it was gunna be a good fight to watch.

i dont think vanes looked good at all, i thought he shoulda get green out of there early. i heard Julio Cesar Chavez jr was putting some hurt on Vanes while sparring. if that is true then he took something out of vanes for this fight.

i dont know if it is true but i know people from the mexican media who saw the sparring sesion and said that vanes wanted no more of julio because he had this fight coming up and was getting tag real hard by chavez.

like i said i dont know if this is true but if it is then you have a case on why he looked bad

The fight almost put me to sleep but I did notice one thing. Mean Joe reminded me of the old 'one-dimensional' Pacquiao. From the southpaw stance, all the guy did was throw the one-two and mostly missed. I believe if Freddie Roach worked with him, he could change the guy into an all around boxer/puncher and be better for it. He would never be as good as Pacquiao (nobody is IMHO), but I think he would be pretty good and better than he was this past Saturday night....

I wasn't impressed with either tonight. If Vanes fight Williams like he said he wanted to, he'll get crushed.
