    his defense was his offensive aggression....soo he didnt get hit a huge amt of times but he still got hit....but he didnt have a good d...he was like mosley n pacquiao n 70s ali in that regard....

    If by good defense you mean slick, that he was not. But he was very "seeing" fighter, as in it was very hard to knock him flush and he had some chin on him too.

      verrrry true, tis surprising hearing purists lauding him after seeing him fielding that many blows in fights. Could have been the lack of need to rely on his defensive skills that made him fight that way, was a tough guy, mebbe he liked the ability to take a person's punches and beat them more than the ability to avoid them?
