if genaro hernadez was past his prime then so was cotto and hatton.

castillo was the best lightweight at that time who the hell should he have fought duran?

DLH, well past it. But even then, he was the heavy favorite going in.

      Try again.

im not even going to argue morales.

hatton yes very similar to genaro hasn't fought once since getting knocked out an he doesn't even have cancer.

if cotto doesn't win tonight the last solid win he has had was against shane mosley.

dlh well past it simple no excuses.

And so they did, particluarly Marciano. There wasn't a single boxer of any note that he fought who wasn't years past his best. So Marciano's fame, at least, is heavily marred.

Larry Holmes got to 48-0 before losing 2 very debateable decisions to Michael Spinks.

Roy Jones and Manny Pacquiao have a case for being the best by being the Fighter Of The Decade, at least that's a start. Floyd can't even win the Fighter Of The Decade and he calls himself the greatest.

i don't rate marciano that highly compared to the atg at heavy.

that said , before he beat joe walcott , jersey joe had just beat ezzard charles twice.

before ezzard charles lost to marciano , he had just koed bob satterfield.

moore was the light heavyweight champion when he fought marciano and had only lost once in 7 years. (a loss that he avenged before his fight with marciano)

they were all past it and older but they were still top fighters.

kinda like how mosley and delahoya wins were for mayweather.

41-0 has been done many times before. However, out of all the fighters who have stayed undefeated that long, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has fought the best competition.
