Wow, how I like the word 'conditioned' in this statement.

I don't understand the purpose of this thread. There's clearly an agenda here, but what, exactly? That "Sugar" Ray Leonard is greater than floyd Mayweather? Well, that's just stating the obvious.

The truth of the matter is no single fighter today, from 140-160 could possibly beat "Sugar" Ray Leonard.

Each fight would result in knockout win for "Sugar" Ray Leonard.

Weather i agree or not about Floyd beating any of the Robinsons, it can't be proven if he can or not.

I want to ask you about "becoming more technical". Can you explain this please?

Fighters in the era i mentioned where pretty 1 dimensional in style, boxers now days are learnt to be more technical in several ways.

Boxers now are learnt to adjust & adapt to different styles in the ring as well change their own style when needed to.

There are plenty other evolving in boxing in the technical aspect as counter punching then the 60's & 70's.

I think you have got this wrong.

Have you heard of the "Back Murderers Row"?

                      Extract from wikipedia:

"Charley Burley (September 6, 1917 – October 16, 1992) was a boxer of the 1940s, compiling a record of 83 wins (50 by knockout), 12 losses, and 2 draws with 1 "no contest". However, because he was so formidable, Burley was never granted a title shot by any of the welterweight and middleweight champions of that era and was also avoided by many of the top white contenders (Burley's father was black and his mother white). Among the fighters who "ducked" Burley were Hall of Famers Billy Conn (who fought Joe Louis for the heavyweight title), Frenchman Marcel Cerdan (who was supposed to face Burley in his American debut), Jake LaMotta (who had fought the likes of powerpuncher Bob Satterfield, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Holman Williams, who was Burley's greatest rival), and even Sugar Ray Robinson, considered by many boxing historians as the best pound-for-pound fighter of all time."

                      Another quote:

"Writer Budd Schulberg ('On the Waterfront') christened them "The Black Murderers' Row". Charley Burley, Eddie Booker, Jack Chase, Bert Lytell, Lloyd Marshall and Aaron 'Tiger' Wade terrorised boxings middleweight division in the 1940s and were avoided to such an extent that they had to fight amongst themselves simply to remain active and earn a living."

If you want to talk about technical skills than I think you need to look way way back in the past:

These fighters' mastery of the sweet science have layed the foundations for modern tacticians such as james toney, roy jones jr, pernell whitaker and not to forget Bernard hopkins.
