It's not mind games, you don't have any advantage by saying 'I'm going to take a year or 2 off', it's either he's serious or he's lying for a certain reason.

I think he's serious because like i said there is no advantage in saying something like that.

Things like this occur all the time. I remember Arsene Wenger saying ''Arshavin wasn't fit for the Premiership'' ( due to his size) he signed him the same season.

The last time he retired I think it was announced through a letter paying his respect to the sport of boxing. If he was going to retire again he wouldn't announce it at an event that has little to do with boxing.
