the talk of cotto and/or margo would have came up huge as well, he came back when cotto lost and margo lost as well so he didnt have to fight them
If Margarito didn't lose his belt to Paul Williams maybe he would have got his shot...

And we all know the fighter Floyd came back for...

Bro, Margarito was never going to get a shot. Never.... Floyd never had any intentions in fighting Margarito.

Marg lost to P-WIll after Floyd beat Oscar, then Floyd fought Hatton. Even if Marg would of beaten P-Will. Hatton would of been the easier, bigger money fight. And, Marg would of beaten P-Will then Marg would of fought Cotto instead of Shane fighting Cotto in November 2007

I'd rather he not retire but people should stop acting like he owes us anything.

wait and see if he does officially retire then this thread might make sense. IMO its just a ploy to help the negotiations go smoother, im pretty sure he'll fight again this year

I don't know...He seemed to have a good shot at Floyd back in Nov 2006. Both sides agreed to the terms of that particular fight according to Arum, but it was a two fight deal and Floyd didn't like the money in the second fight and the bad blood seemed to ruin everything.

Just thinking of this makes me wonder where Floyd would be if he beat Margo, then Cotto and then Hatton instead of Baldomir, Oscar and then Hatton.

If Marg was top 2/3 Pound for Pound I think the fight could be arranged...I think the main problem was Arum...

I think Hatton's a better fighter than Margarito anyway...

You think Hatton is better than Margarito at 147? Seriously?

Not at 147...in general? Yes...Hatton's resume is better...Margarito's resume consists of Cotto, some weak contenders, and that guy that likes to leap out the ring...
