whats up joe, shane/pac would be good, but whats the point if pac wont get credit??? im sure all you guys would claim pac fought floyd's scraps AGAIN... as for bradley or alexander... what have they proven???? they dont deserve a shot at an elite fighter... so why wouldnt floyd take on tim & devon? tim already called out floyd a while ago... both floyd & pac are looking past anyone @ 140 because its full of prospects/contenders... no elite fighters worth $$$$. its a young division still weeding out its true elite fighter... khan, devon, tim, vic, etc NEED to determine who top dog of the division is before calling out elite PPV fighters.
as for pac needing a "real" challenger??? c'mon bro. most of pac's recent fights were regarded as challenges... just because he surpassed expectation, doesnt take the realness of the matchup.... same thing for floyd, shane was a REAL challenge... floyd dominated him, should we claim floyd hasnt fought any challenges either???? that would be a discredit to shane. the same way its a discredit to cotto.
personally, i would love for manny to clean up the 140 division and make a statement... but thats not good for boxing. the new crop of 140 fighters need to mature and build up name recognition to possibly become the next elite fighter when manny & floyd are gone.
same way i would love for floyd to move up and challenge himself in the MW division.... i think he has outgrown WW, he just seemed bigger than shane which surprised ALOT of people. there is nobody in WW worthy to fight floyd except manny. closest interesting option for floyd @ WW is an outclassed berto, drained p-will, or possibly faded cotto....
