Why is everyone surprised? Haye is British, is he not? Didn't Hatton pull this same **** with Mayweather in 2005 and 2006? Sure he eventually fought him but made a bunch of excuses about the weight and the ref. And look at Calzaghe, ducking all tough fights until he was nearing retirement. It's Haye's faithful fans he's disappointed the most. Wlad doesn't really need him, there's a dozen HW like Adamek, Solis, Tua, Peter, and hopefully Povetkin who will step up.

I'm a fan of what Haye does. I like Wlad and Vitali a lot too, and I was really looking forward to this bout happening *sometime*. Ugh.

Adamek is too small and I dont see Povetkin as much of anything. Talented but just doesn't have the spark. This was going to be the last *BIG* HW title fight for a while.
