he said that he wants to fight only the best he doesnt care about anyone specifically but just the best. he was giving props to elio rojas he said they have negotiated 3 different times and it still hasnt happened. he also said he wants to fight juanma now because he is tired of hearing about the gamboa-juanma match up. Also said that caballero doesnt really interest him too much and doesnt have much of a name now but after he fights a couple of people at 126 it might happen. he also said the top fighters he would like to face if he had a choice are juanma, vazquez and marquez. also said that after the matawga fight top rank realized that it will be extremely difficult for juanma to beat him and that's why the backed off of matching them this summer

Is Gamboa even a big name himself, though? I only know him for embarrassing Juanma on his own card. I think that's where a lot of the hype came from. But still, is his name big enough to say something about another fighter's popularity?

He said one thing I really liked and one thing I really hated.

The one I really hated is that he said that Caballero doesn't have a big name right now, I hated when Juanma said that shiet and I hate that Gamboa is saying it now too. It changes nothing to the fact that Caba didn't accept the 250k offer but I think that's a big disrespect from Gamboa, who's usually a very humble dude, and Caballero never disrespected him.

The things I liked now: He said he really wants to fight Rojas, that it's the third time he tries to have a fight with him but negotiations between both camps are never successful and he prays for the fight to happen very soon.

And now, what I liked the most: He was asked if he thought it was a good idea to further build the fight between him and Juanma. He basically said *** it, let's have it right now. He says he understands that Bob Arum will personally make more money out of it if he waits a bit more but he doesn't see the point and it's annoying him. He says it's the fight everyone want to see NOW, why wait. He wants the fight asap, tomorrow if possible. Then he was asked to compare his Mtagwa fight with Juanma-Mtagwa and the only thing he said is that he thinks that this fight was the reason why Top Rank got scared of him and delayed the Gamboa-Juanma fight for next year (at the beginning it was supposed to happen this month). He was almost like "I should have never fought Mtagwa."
