Comments Thread For: Miguel Cotto – A Different Kind of Faith

By Thomas Gerbasi - In the lead-up to Saturday’s junior middleweight title bout at Yankee Stadium between Yuri Foreman and Miguel Cotto, much of the attention has been focused on the faith of the champion, a Rabbi in training whose adherence to his studies is not only admirable, but a goldmine for those looking for the ‘out of the box’ boxing story.

But the man in the other corner, the one familiar with the ins, outs, and peculiarities of big fights, sits virtually silent as the media crowds around Foreman, content that his own faith will take him through the latest big fight of his life. [Click Here To Read More]

Yippety-skippy-doo for Miguel Cotto. Hope he burns the Stadium to the ground and challenges Mayweather just for the hell of it.

    Brother.

i think cotto can bounce back with this fight. he was never electrifying, but was a solid blue-collar fighter... boxing needs more fighters like him. but i personally cannot see him becoming an "opponent" the rest of his career. i think he deserves careful matchmaking from here on out... he fought all the elite badasses in their prime.

i think having steward in his corner & foreman's style will be a tremendous change for miguel... a good technical fight would be great for him.

Great piece, I enjoyed it. I wish Cotto good luck in this fight, can't say I'll be rooting for him but then again I won't be rooting for Foreman either since I can't stand his style. However I think he's gonna beat Cotto, Foreman has the ability to cut you up with his punches, a bad thing for Cotto and all of that extra damaged skin tissue.

Bull**** aside, but seriously what are you going to do if your boy gets beat up again? I don't think you can possible take 3 heart breaks in the span of 2 years can you?
