Margarito beat Cotto with plaster wraps.. not sure if that's something to be proud of but Cotto still came out on top. He's fighting in the USA getting more money than Margo ever did and Antonio fighting somewhere in Mexico clearly not making as much as he would be.

as far as I'm concerned Cotto only has one loss on his record, and that was to the greatest fighter of our era in any weight.

kinda agree, but not totally sure, Cotto started slowing down when Margo started hitting uppercuts underneath his guard...if those were plaster uppercuts then it could've materially changed the fight

Cotto lost that fight but in his very next fight Margs showed the damage was there, he was eating those punches but they had a permanent effect on him. They both messed each other up in that fight.

I'd say Marg's has the mental edge in a rematch but with Steward in his corner and a little more solidity behind him at '54 (let's see how he looks) Cotto might pull a UD on him.

That's all hogwash though, if that guy never gets his license back...

I couldn't agree more bruh. Cotto HAS to fight Margo in order to erase the "possible" plaster situation from their fight. And instead of talkin **** about Margo, just fight him. Margo is not in any position to negotiate purse percentage, ring size, gloves, location of venue or anything else for that matter. Right now Margo has to operate with what Miguel wants, this all will change if Tony gets a fight with Pac if the Floyd vs. Manny negotiations falls through again. Honestly though Miguel NEEDS to focus on Yuri. Alot of people are sleeping on Yuri on these boards. Danial Santos was coming off a little layoff but it doesn't negate the fact that Yuri broke him off something terrible. Miguel aint gon be in there with no cup cake on Saturday.

Meh, look at Sergio Martinez, he lost by KO to Margs and he's accomplished so much on his own merit. Rematches are cool and all, but they aren't the end all be all of a fighter's career.
