Define good? Because he did beat top 10 fighters. So I don't see what is your beef is.

Define talent as well. Because, you don't go as far as he did and beat top 10 guys on a consistent level as he did without talent.

The idea is this: Get Cotto in the ring with a guy we all know that he can beat who holds a belt - Yuri Foreman. Cotto is tough, he isn't getting KO'd, and if he does, it will not be from the pitter patter of Yuri Foreman. Cotto will be a 154 lb champ.

Manny Will then be matched up against Cotto, and it will be at a 150 lb catchweight for the 154 lb title that Cotto is going to win from Yuri.

The fight will be hyped up Bob Arum style "Revenge" "Redemption" "Pride" and ****** hype **** like that - we all know damn well Cotto can't beat Pacquiao, even at his best he just is not good enough.

This will basically serve up another title to Manny on a silver platter and further glorify his place in history - even if it is phony Bob Arum orchestration. Of course anything can happen in a fight, but Bob's playing the odds and is relying on this script:

Cotto beats Yuri becomes 154lb title holder.

        Rematch Cotto and Pacquiao

Pacquiao beats Cotto again at 150lb Catchweight and claims another title in another weight class, making him an even bigger cash cow for Bob Arum.

I can guarantee that if Manny was smart and did his own promoting we wouldn't be seeing any of this Cotto vs Foreman ****. Honestly, who's going to pay to see that? It's all part of the Manny Pacman plan.
That's am interesting scenario, worthy of Myer Lansky at his best, or even Oscar. However, you should be aware, as most of us are, that nothing is certain, especially in boxing. A fighter who could be relied on to win 9 times in a row, could just as reliably lose in the 10th effort. All it takes, is a little slip , either of the foot, the defence, or concentration, a la Zab Judah, for instance.

No one is omnipotent, and so far, there's no proof that Arum is setting up Foreman to be a stooge for Manny P. Could you share with us the source of your info....Please??

Remember......the surest bet in the world for Best Fighter of the Past 50 Years, was Roy Jones, and when fighting an inferior boxer like Tarver, who could never, in 10 lifetimes achieve or produce what Jones did regularly almost nonchalantly, he was the accidental victim of a one-in-100,000 punch, which was a Tarver special, an eyes-closed-special.....A SPECIAL. He'll be able to live for the rest of his life on that one punch, where, under slightly different circumstances, say, if he'd had even ONE eye open, and missed, as he'd been missing most of his punches, Superman would still be the lb4lb #1, for a never-to-be-broken 20 years.

I also want to say that I think a warrior like Cotto at 154 instead of 147, is a different, and maybe better fighter, and a warrior like Manny P at 147, should be, a maybe better fighter than Manny at 154.

          Who knows??

Arum wouldnt risk his ***ish brethren this quickly after just getting a belt if he didnt know he was going to win. Cotto has made his money, off with him and on to the next one.

If Cotto losses it would bne only normal as he would be done and likely retire.
