Brian Rose’s defeat to Max Maxwell last Friday night left a question mark over British light-middleweight champion Sam Webb’s next move. A win would have seen Rose challenge Webb later this year only for Maxwell’s bowling right hand to put paid to the mooted contest. ‘Mad Max’ believes that he is now next in line for a shot at Webb; however, a former British title challenger has also thrown his name into the mix. No offence to max but if me and afew amateurs are whooping him in sparring there is no way he's gonna win. He's leaped his way to this stage to end up landing in quicksand. He's close to landing his title shot, respect for that but Richie Woodhall has to be realistic about this and work on somebody else.
Max hasnt been the same for awhile now.
