Just make the fight happen, I don't really care who gets the most money. Let's get it on...
Mayweather standing firm on demand for more money

No. Manny is ALWAYS looking for more money. I noticed this trend a few years ago, and it really surprised me, since I regarded him as both a little simple, and very openhanded and easygoing. Likely he got like that from pouring out money for his supporters and his political c ampaigns which cost him a bundle I'm sure. He' entitled to 50%, he's far more famous and internationally known than Mayweather, the Fighter of the Decade and te year a few times etc. He's well within his rights to insist on at least 50%.
What did Mayweather do to earn 50% or 55%???? he beat Mosley, who put out the worst by far fight of his entire career. Not surprising since he isn early 39 and hadn't fought for nearly a year and a half. Bed realistic guys, he's not a miracle man, but a very good fighter who is too old, and rusty, to put up a worth while fight. Clotty put up a better fight.Comment

Now, the latest rumors regarding negotiations are that Mayweather is indeed standing firm on his demands for more money. Although his actions fall in line with what he said prior to his showdown with Mosley, the timing of the revelation certainly looks bad in the eyes of many fans, especially considering that Pacquiao has now agreed to a 14-day cutoff for blood testing.
Be that as it may when Mayweather's camp finally releases a statement I'm sure it will be endlessly dissected by some for evidence that he's trying to duck the fight. But like you said he made it clear that the terms of the negotiations would be different the second time around if he did better PPV numbers, which he did. So with that being the case how could the timing be bad? Negotiations usually take place after a fight, that's no surprise.
It just isn't reasonable for Manny Pacquiao's camp to think that simply agreeing to terms--which he could have accepted originally--from a failed negotiations are going to be enough now. In my humble opinion Pacquiao's PPV numbers were pretty good but they were significantly less than Mayweather's and the gate was lower as well. At the heart of all this give and take between fans boxing is a business, these guys aren't fighting for free and the punches are real. Mayweather knows that the accolades Pacquiao's getting are meaningless compared to the compensation the fighter receives for the risk that he takes. Belts have no more meaning than a boil on a tramp's ass, but how you market yourself does.
But back to Pacquiao accepting the fourteen day cut off all of the sudden. What changed? Did he get or is he getting treatment for his trypanophobia, or did he switch religions and he's less superstitious, or did he suddenly realize that needles are employed during a tattoo session? The facts are all there, someone blinked and his last name isn't Mayweather.
Combine that with the fact that USADA blood testing procedures stopped 18 days prior to Mayweather vs. Mosley and it certainly looks like Mayweather is giving fans a reason to turn on him. So I want to know from any Mayweather fans out there, have you turned on Floyd due to his new demands for more money? Pacquiao fans need not reply as I’m pretty sure of where you stand on the subject, but what say you Mayweather fans? Is the bigger issue the blood or the money?
Why turn on a guy for doing what he says? And why would we not expect a prize fighter to try to get the biggest prize he can?Comment

Due to the facts!
Floyd Money Mayweather is the biggest draw in the sport of boxing, not my opinion thats a fact! As Money May would tell you, "Stats don't lie"! So due to the facts i think Mayweather should get a little better split than 50\50 because if the same were true for Manny you or anyone else could not tell me that Manny and Freddie would give Mayweather 50/50. I think 55/45 in favor of Mayweather is reasonable but if he says something like 60/40 and sticks to it then he may very well not really want this fight because I feel Manny means as much to boxing as he does!Comment

From a business point of view I can understand Mayweather demanding more money. He brings in higher numbers than Pacquiao, he brings more to the actual fight in the sense that his 0 on the table. When it comes to promoting the fight he will likely do more than Pacquiao too.
It's arguable that he is giving more to the fight. That being said both these guys won't get a pay check as fat as this elsewhere, the extra 5% will essentially be chump change in comparison to what he will earn over all.
Really speaking I'd like both of these guys to fight 40:40 then the other 20% goes to a charity.Comment
