oh no not at all! The training for it requires a lot of free time and i'm nowhere near in shape to even think of doing it. Used to fight golden Gloves as a kid and unlike you I have respect for anyone who gets in a ring/octagon and has the balls to put it on the line.

Again basic ***ing logic is lost on 3/4 of you ignorent ***s. If it's so easy why don't you try it?
Seriously this is as dumb as someone saying "anyone who goes to a boxing gym could be as good as floyd Mayweather".

See how ***ing dumb you sound.

I could, I mean random guys have plenty of "MMA" gyms around my area...

I could be a serious threat!!!!

That's what makes it so funny...

I could start training and pretty soon I would be a serious threat, no experience!!!

Look at Brett Rogers, he was busting tires at Sam's Club last yearand fought for the Strikeforce HW Title this year!!

Shane Carwin is a Engineer and he's fighting for the UFC Heavyweight title in July

Brett Rogers was training and working at Sam's Club...

I respect them all, but don't act like MMA isn't something that anyone could just pop up and be competative at...

What the hell is going on. Can someone please like explain this **** to me. I mean I know MMA is popular and all, but why are we discussing this **** here. ITs like arguing who would win Kane vs. The Undertaker or Alien vs. Predator. I thought this was a sports forum. WTF? I mean yeah I get it, Floyd likes to dabble in that Sports Entertainment field and I dug it when he fought the big show, that was cool, but its not like Im 8 and didnt figure out it was fake yet. I mean FLoyd beat the big show because thats what the script says. I dont think Floyd would go to UFC because I doubt Dana White and Vince McMahon will write a script that lets him just dominate a guy. I mean they might have him win, but most likely tripple H will hit the guy with a chair or something. Maybe Batista, I dont know, I have heard that Floyd knows how to lock in the Sharpshooer and the Walls of Jericho, so hes got some cool finishing moves though. Still, I think this is ****** and I dont want Floyd to retire and try to go into acting, I want him to stay in boxing. But yeah, can someone explain to me why we are arguing about who would win in sports entertainment fights? "no jericho would win, no lesnar would win, no I think Jericho lionsaults him, but lesnar spears him first"...its ******ed.

How easy is it for a pro boxer to KO someone? Mercer hits you, you're out.

            MMA = Mixed Martial arts.

No some are good o r OK at BJJ/ wrestling, maybe Muay Thai.

The greats are great at some of those arts.

Floyd is a great striker. His footwork would keep someone in boxing range, but too fast to be taken down.

Floyd is a physical beast. He trains hard and no D list guy could beat him. H has not done MMA before but in 6 months this talented man could learn some defences.

No one in MMA could take 3 rounds of his punches. No one has the defence to block it, they have a square stance in MMA. Easy for Floyd.

NFL and basket is more different to boxing and MMA.

Anyone that can punch at world class level can KO someone with 4 ounce gloves.

They have to have a square stance because they have to protect against take downs and leg kicks something boxers never will protect against. the staggered stance a boxer uses does not work in mixed martial Arts.

It would be nice if you maybe researched a few things before you open your mouth. Even you understand the rules of engagement in the UFC are very diffrent than the rules in boxing therefore techniques used in boxing wont work at all in MMA.
