Comments Thread For: Mayweather's Side is Silent on Pacquiao's New Test Stance

Nothing has been heard from the side of Floyd Mayweather Jr., regarding Manny Pacquiao's verbal promise to take random drug tests until a period of 14-days before a planned fight in November. The WBO welterweight champion recently changed his mind. Mayweather and Pacquiao were unable to reach an agreement a few months ago. Mayweather requested the 14-day period. At the time, Pacquiao was requesting 24-days. [Click Here To Read More]

They're busy working on a new excuse.

        The fight will never happen.

Good, that's they way it should be if you don't want to negotiate thru the media. I like Pacman but his cronies need to shut and get a life. If the Mayweather cronies can keep quiet about the negotiations (if they are truly happening yet), then Pacs cronies need to keep quiet as well. The BEST would be to wake up one day, and hear that both sides agreed to everything and will be fighting November 13th (or sometime in October or November). That would be the greatest, we would all start arguing about who the best is all over again but this time, we would find out who is right. Without them fighting, neither one can consider themselves better than the other, at least in my opinion...

Mayweather seems to have a tighter grip on whats said and what isnt said. He doesnt need daily updates on whats happening with him to the smallest detail. Also, that "not negotiating through the media" seems to be a a sign of a man who has a team that actually knows what they are doing.

The thing is with pac and his lawyers/hangers on/team you get different quotes everyday and the basically a bunch of nonsense. Id honestly rather hear nothing than to read about whos lying, whos scared and whos a coward EVERY SINGLE DAY.

yes sir, if anything I'm proud of Mayweather's team for not mentioning anything to the media, Roach and Pacman's team need to learn to keep quiet b/c they will never have the opportunity to make 25 million dollars again.

                power move.

48 Laws of power: Law 8: Make other people come to you - use bait if necessary.

he's been saying since he came back that ALL roads lead to floyd mayweather. last time when pacquiao refused the test, which they are now pretty much admitting was the reason for the fight not happening, they kept the same fight date as a way of showing that they did not need mayweather and that business would precede as usual.

now pacquiao comes out, says he will take the test BUT, under his own terms, not mayweather's, and expects things to speed into motion. he has come to mayweather, just as mayweather expected when he picked mosley as an opponent, and now all the cards are in mayweather's hands.

he's on vacation with his family. i'm sure he will handle business when he comes back. he doesn't need to fight pacquiao to add to his legacy or make another 20 or so million. we, as fans (and haters), want this fight so it would only make sense to show some patience.

Great. What a wonderful update. Thanks for the wonderful quote, too.

Boxingscene is like TMZ with these "updates", except there is no video or photographic evidence.

Floyd made his statement March 1st. Really nothing else to talk about at this point and Team Pac should follow Floyd's lead and keep their traps shut. 14 days was off the table when Manny walked away from the fight and made the fight with Clottey. Team Pac publicly agreeing to Floyd's old, compromised terms even before negotiations take place illustrates who's in the position of power. Everything falls on deaf ears at the point and Floyd new leverage at the bargaining table extends past OSDT's. Team Pac= 'Talking loud and saying nothing'. https://<object width="480" height="...mbed></object>
