Both the IBO and the BoxRec rankings make more sense than the rankings of the sanctioning organizations, because they don't only rate the people who pay sanctioning fees.

But strangely enough, the IBO champions are often not the same people they rank as #1. For example, Daniel Geale wasn't even in the IBO top 10 when he had the IBO title.

Vitali Klitschko has defeated 5 world champions.

Orlin Norris was the WBA cruiserweight champion of the world, he made 3 world title defences and then moved up to heavyweight.

Vitali destroyed Norris in the 1st round.

Vitali dominated Lennox Lewis and Chris Byrd, but a ****** doctor and a
freak injury stopped him from winning those fights. Vitali could've easily been undefeated today.

Unfortunately, we never got to see Vitali's true prime. Chronic injuries forced Vitali into a 4 year retirement. If Vitali had stayed healthy he would've totally dominated everyone in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Vitali is 39 years old now, came back after the 4 year layoff and is still dominating the heavyweight division. His comeback record is 5-0, 4 KOs. He hasn't lost a single round in his comeback.

Thanks, I'll edit the opening post.

Some of the Klitschkos opponents like Arreola and Chambers are young and will probably win a world title after the K bros retire.
