The answer is simple. Everyone in the boxing media is biased. I used to be a journalist when journalists were actually objective. Now, the only objective journalism you can find is on CNN. There is no hint of objectivity in the boxing media. It is all opinion journalism and has been for the last 30 years. That is why the media has not hugged floyds nuts. They hug the nuts of who ever they want. How else do you explain why Fernando Vargas was an inexperienced novice who was not ready when Tito Trinidad ko'd him; however, two fights later, he was an experienced veteran warrior when De La Hoya won his great victory over Vargas? The answer is the media was "hugging De La Hoya's nuts" but not Trinidad's.

Now that De La Hoya is retired, the media is hugging Pac's nuts. That includes the announcers at HBO. All of them were crazy about De La Hoya and never made it a secret. Now, they don't make their idolization of Pac and hatred of Floyd a secret.

How much money did that award earn him against Joshua Clottey? How much did Floyd make by not being fighter of the decade when he fought Mosley?

Your posts sound just like those of the infamous Pac worshipper, Ronnie Nathanielz. Since you are probably him and you are so close to Pac, why don't you ask him that question and ask whether he would have prefered to have the FOTD award and fight Clottey for $7.5 million or not have it and fight Mosley for $22.5 million. If he doesn't have you arrested for stalking him, he will likely tell you he would have preferred to fight Mosley for three times the money.

Yes, something along the lines of Pac was too busy screwing his female staffers to focus on the fight and he was too weak from busting his nuts in those staffers to beat Floyd (although I have to admit that this may be a legitimate excuse).

Then Pac should retire if he can't dedicate full time at the highest level of the sport. This is typical hardcore Pac fan analogy, comprehensible only to themselves. Pac fans are more irrational day after day

              To the Threadstarter,

How is PAC a part-time fighter(Yes, I know he was recently elected as a public official in his homeland) ?

It's not like fighters are solely focused on fighting 365 24/7 unless they are preparing for a fight.

PAC has been fighting at a steady rate, no long layoffs in between fights.

News from the Philippines reports, that if a PAC - PBF is made, PAC's duties as a congressman will be relegated to someone else so he can focus and prepare for the fight.

If anyone is to be labeled a part-time fighter it is PBF. Remember, he is coming back from a near 2 year hiatus and has only fought twice since.

if floyd could win against the congressman then props to him, but i don't think he could. But his chances of winning has increase 10x.

He hasn't done that in any of these divisions. I will admit that I don't know anything about Pac before the Barerra fight, except the fact that he was knocked out twice, so please enlighten us.

Also, if my memory serves me correctly, Floyd beat the best at 130, 135, 147 and 154. I believe that makes him a lineal champion in four divisions.
you don't know which division did pac become a lineal champion? I understand it because u only know about floyd and nothing more. Lol.

                      Sigh...

This poll is proof that the general boxing public doesn't know ****. Betting odds is where you can find the most unbiased opinion, and for the March 13th bout betting odds showed Mayweather as a clear favorite.

Pacquiao is easily outboxed. Mayweather is the best boxer of this generation. Pacquiao can only win by work rate. Mayweather has proven time and time again that he will slow down any fighter's work rate. Body work and getting countered all night slows a man down.

BOTH Pacquiao and Mayweather have cherry picked their most recent opponents. Don't deny that. However, Mayweather shined against adversity in his toughest bouts. Pacquiao ended up getting beat by Morales and Marquez.

Pacquiao has around 5 rounds to do something drastic. If he allows Mayweather to adapt, then it'll be easy work. Mayweather is bigger, faster, stronger, but most importantly smarter.

Do you think it's a coincidence Pacquiao wants only one more fight? If team Pacquiao takes the fight, it's for a payday. Believe that. He'll lose and retire.
