The middleweight division needs some serious reconstruction

look at this darn thing. It has some potetntial to be a good division, but nothing seems to be happening. Im pretty sure Pavlik just moved away to super middleweight and Williams to who knows where, and who else is left?
Martinez who probably wont have any opposition for a while
Felix Sturm who just wont fight anyone
Anthony Mundine who wont fight anyone
Daniel Geale who just wants a rematch against Mundine since he got robbed

and then theres Sebastian Sylvester and Karmazin(who arent that bad and are fighting each other, thats the only plus I see for this division), Peter Manfredo Jr and a couple of KO losses to Arthur Abraham.

some new blood needs to hurry up and ignite this division...Macklin, Golovkin, Jacobs, Lee, Chavez Jr., Pirog, Guerrero...

I mean, if these guys started making waves, they could own this stale division. They need to hurry up and get to it.

I think what the Middleweight division needs is for more of the European fighters to come to the U.S and really make their name. Alot of people on here seem to dislike Felix Sturm but he is one of my favorites. He is very skilled and has a great jab, I think he has the tools to become the best Middleweight of this era but he does have to step up his level of opposition like alot of people have said. His dispute with Universum is almost settled I think and he will proberbly fight again sometime in August/September. I hope we see him come to the U.S and fight some of the big names but I think in terms of skill, This guy is proberbly the best Middleweight right now.

I dont think the Middleweight division is as bad as alot of people think...

    You have...

    Martinez
    P-Will
    Sylvester
    Golovkin
    Macklin
    Mora
    Karmazin
    Zbik
    Gevor
    Manfredo
    Quillin

All good fighters but like I said. They need to start fighting each other...

The division is filled with C level fighters like Sylvester, Mackiln, Grevor, Lopez, and fighters like Sturm make it worst because he has the talent but seems to have no interest in fighting the best or unify. Martinez is great but who besides Williams can make it a competitive fight against him? And it's too early for Quillin to fight the top fighters.
