Yes, it's the co-main event and will be on at about 4:30 pm Eastern, 1:30 pm Pacific time in North America.

If I can find a stream, I'll make a round-by-round thread for this and the Karmazin-Sylvester fight on June 5.

Thanks looks like June 5 will be a very good day for boxing with this CW title fight that should be competitive and the two fight HBO card later that night.

As a little bonus info let me add that the winner of this fight is likely to participate in the upcoming supersix of the cruiserweights.

Yes, there's a total of five fights I'm interested in on those two cards:

              Cotto-Foreman
              Martirosyan-Greene

              on HBO, and

              Cunningham-Ross
              Karmazin-Sylvester
              Platov-Olouken

              on the Sauerland card.

                Ross to Win by KO

The fact is this, Troy Ross has never had a chance to prove himself with the top contenders in the Cruiserweight division, because nobody wanted to face a power punching south Paw.

The only chance he had in his pro career to prove himself was The Contender, where opponents were forced to face him and prove himself, he did, knocking out all of his opponents.

Ross was an outstanding amateur having a war with Vasile Jirov in the 1996 Quarter-Finals of the Atlanta Olympic Games. Ross would give Jirov his closest fight as Jirov's next opponent was Antonio Tarver, whom Jirov easily beat. A few years later, Ross boxed at the time relatively unknown David Haye of England to what many people believe Ross won, but the decision was given to Haye. In the 2000 Olympics a quick right hand was landed and Troy went down in a fight that Ross was coming on with intensity. In any other match, professional or amateur, this fight would NOT have been stopped. It was the referee jumping the gun as Troy took his time getting up, but anyone that knows Troy, knows that that is just his nature...he is a very relaxed person and takes his time with everything!

Troy can box with anyone and has unbelievable skills, he is not just a puncher, but a skilled boxer. Cunningham might be faster and gives great angles, but watch him walk right on to one of Rosses right hooks.

My bet is on TROY ROSS for a KO victory, Round 7!

Good post. He has been avoided.

I think he will catch Cunningham with a big punch in rounds 7-10 and win by KO.

                    From fight news:

In the co-featured main event, Steve “USS” Cunningham (22-2, 11 KOs) will make his first fight under the promotional banner of Team Sauerland when he clashes with Troy Ross (23-1, 16 KOs) for the vacant IBF Cruiserweight Title. “That will be a hell of a fight,” Kalle Sauerland said. “We are thrilled to have signed Steve Cunningham. We know what he can do to his opponents. I am sure he will win back his title on Saturday night.” The former IBF Champion, who has defeated all three fellow cruiserweight champions (Huck/Jones/Wlodarcyzk) during the course of his glorious career, is eager to get into the ring. “We have had a great preparation in America and also here in Germany,” he said. “I am ready. I know what I have to do to beat Ross. We look forward to starting our cooperation with Team Sauerland.”

Ross also voiced his confidence. “I have a lot of respect for Steve,” he said. “He is a great fighter and a very good athlete. But we have a good game plan and will make the right adjustments to defeat him on Saturday.”
