I'm just watching it, first time in years. Lewis was a master in there, a true intelligent boxer against a brawler, totally embarrased Tua.
Lewis vs Tua revisited.

The story behind the fight.
Tua said Lewis hit him with a big shot in the first round and he could never get off after that.
Tua said he was hurting from it the whole fight.
Lewis was masterful sticking that jab out and used his height brilliantly. -
Where did you hear that?Comment

Yep, wasn't the most entertaining fight but a master performance, just shows how effective a jab can be.Comment

yeah Lewis got him to the body early on and Tua was just worthless after that. I think this fight more than any had me hyped up without delivering at allComment

[Tua] would get hit with big shots that just didn't seem to faze him. I never saw him stunned or hurt," said Ronnie Shields, who trained Tua for much of his career. "The only time he came close was in the first round of his fight with Lennox Lewis when Lennox hit him with a big right hand. That changed David. But otherwise, I never saw him hurt."
I will find Tua's quote in a minute you doubters.Comment

"One thing David prides himself is not making any excuses," Dan Gossen, Tua's trainer said. "Obviously we saw from the second round on that we saw a different David Tua. There is no excuses with us, (but) in the second round (trainers) Ronnie (Shields) and Kevin (Barry) told me that David (hurt his ribs)."Comment

nah its true, he said he hurt his rib or something in sparring and a body shot returned him to thatpain and he couldnt reach out with left hooks like he wanted to cuz it would hurt himComment
