exactly. whoever comes out on top of the 140 lbs tourney is a viable opponent for pac/floyd and has more leverage in negotiations.

right now, no 140 lber is in the race at all to fight pac or crackbaby jr.

There is no tourney presented to any fighters,,,and the one Khan presented doesn't count cause he is no position to call the shots, but until one is properly presented, Bradley is trying to market himself in the 147.....

Khan has fought 4 or 5 fights at 140. Not that many either. Althoguh he killed himself to make 135.

Anyway I hope Khan does fight in the proper tourney.

As for Kats, you already know that it is a fight they want in July.

Khan's a very natural JWW at this stage, if that was your point.


What I'm saying is, I don't see Khan being in any JWW tourney. I think his next 2 fights will see him effectively taking part in a tournament with lightweights, although it won't be officially promoted as such.

khan better fight maidana when maidana stops faking his back injury.

However soon Team Maidana stops faking, if they actually were faking in order to duck Bradley, I don't think he will be Khan's next fight after the projected July date.

I think that, if Khan handles Katsidis, Khan-Marquez is on the cards. That's the fight Schaefer wants.

my dude, i can respect tim for wanting more money and wanting to fight manny and floyd i agree 100% its just the way he is trying to do it. lets get this out in the open now, the offer is not 150k anymore, that was last year when no one knew who devon was. bradley and alexander are the two top fighters at 140. it has been said many times the winner of the two will become a superstar. that means that person will have the chance at big paydays that could feed them for 40 years. so if bradley beats devon he can get those fights asap. you can't say that with abregu.

Meanwhile if he fails he will have to find another means of income. Or what if he gets hurt and has to retire then what? This will be a make a career break a career fight. Besides that if they just wait a year and both win it will be a seven figure fight when they fight initially. I know he has been offered more to fight 150 K now. It was a general example of the fact that this dude works harder for his money than most people can understand and he could barely survive where he lives, which is truly saying something.

Also HBO might be trying to stop the fight so that it could be a bigger fight down the road, why else would they pay him more to fight Maidana. It could mean they were trying to make it so that it was a bigger fight down the road.

Maybe HBO already has a plan and we have no idea what they are doing, they are professionals and they make a lot more money than us for a reason, they know how to spend it properly.

All this crap about a tourney and Bradley hasn't signed on - the tourney is as supposed as anything. Nobody's signed on, because it's not a reality.


What is a reality, is that Richard Schaefer has declared his wish to see Amir Khan fight Juan Manuel Marquez.

Bradley would embarrass Khan in his own country just like he did Witter, Bradley is ranked #1 by most across the board so all roads leads to Bradley in that 140 division, you can't even claim your the best at 140 until you beat Bradley...PERIOD!

Bradley wants to get paid and unfortunately for him all the big fights in his division are against the Golden Boy Promoted fighters who are all being protected by their promotion
