Would Ricardo "Finito" Lopez have 1 loss if...

his first fight with Rosendo Alvarez did NOT take place in Mexico?

The fight ended in a Technical Draw, but as you can see in 8:48, one of the commentators says "if it's an accidental butt, the uncut fighter gets a point deducted here in these fights in mexico tonight".

Alvarez gave Lopez his first clean knockdown of his career, in round 2, but that was cancelled out due to Mexico's ruling of deducting a point to the uncut fighter in the case of an accidental headbutt.

According to boxrec, the scores were 67-64 (Lopez), 66-66 (Draw), 63-68 (Alvarez).

If Alvarez was never deducted a point, the scores would have been 67-65 (Lopez), 66-67 (Alvarez), 63-69 (Alvarez)
If the fight took place anywhere else, would Alvarez have won a Split Decision (Technical)?

The first fight was a hard fight for Finito. I will watch the first fight again and score it. Anyways, he won the second fight even though Alvarez came in 3 pounds over the weight limit.

Yeah and I think Finito underestimated Alvarez a tad. Rosendo was really effin good. I remember being stunned when he dropped Lopez. That was a really beautiful right hand. Lopez had to pull out all the stunts as the fight progressed but Lopez matched him punch for punch and move for move. I came away thinking Lopez was very lucky to escape with a draw.
