You need to do this kind of thing more often.

Great read, not too esoteric at all to anyone really interested in boxing/boxers.

I think you're making a mistake posting for every american. I live in Los Angeles and I am a Klitschko fan.

Let's put it this way, would you rather watch Vitali throw 1000 punches and beat the crap out of Arreola, or David Haye throw about 10 punches per round against Valuev?

The only time I ever rooted against them was when my hero, Corrie Sanders, fought them.

At least he battled them both and got their respect.

I think they are on a whole new level now.

That's the reason I entered the thread tbh.

Not much point in saying it now.

Thank you for backing that up. I hate it when someone tries to speak about the entire country as if they know who everyone watches in the boxing ring.

Vitali is a great fighter, currently top 15 All-time, and miles ahead of his sister Wladimir. The issue is that everyone in the top-ten has beaten another all time great, regardless of age. Vitali hasnt beaten anyone GREAT.

Joe Louis beat 5 former Champions: Schmelling, Baer, Sharkey, Braddock, Primo as well as future champ Joe Walcott.

                      Marciano beat Louis

                      Ali beat Liston, Foreman

                      Frazier beat Ali

                      Foreman obliterated Frazier

                      Tyson beat Holmes

                      Lennox beat Holyfield, Tyson

Vitali failed when he came face to face with another Great and that will always haunt him and keep him out of a lot of lists. Vitalis best path to greatness is to break George Foremans record. If he can show longevity he can be top 10.
