Both of your theories are correct.

He was obviously baiting Haye in the first 3 rounds, but I think he genuinely tried to finish the fight in rounds 6 & 7 but couldn't.

Sosnoski had heart, and was not very good....Im afraid that if Vitali fights another bum ranked higher than the #20 Sosnoski they might get lucky and finish him....Haye needs to sign the fight now or some American may get the glory.

Vitali is getting pretty old. 38-40 is a pretty ripe age for retirement, even in the most well preserved fighters.

hes not shot, because hes not THAT far off from his prime form. but certainly, hes lost a step.
still beats almost everyone in the heavyweight division. apart from his brother, who else is there?

The only guys that could possibly beat him are Tony Thompson, Povetkin and Haye.
