Look at every P4P list and you see that all of them are different. And, even if you get all the P4P list you see that they differ for even the #1 spot. Because, it is all a mythical opinion based ranking. I don't why fans put so much stock into it.

I don't know who will be P4P #1 in the majority. But, IMO Dawson will be my #1. Because, he will be the best fighter out there and might be arguably the best resume out there.
    I second this post.

Winner of the Super 6 vs Lucian Bute. Will more than likely determine the next p4p #1.

I still got faith in my boy Jorge Linares though.

After he cleans up at 140lbs by late-2011, Khan will be in the top5. In 3 years from now, he'd have probably won a lineal title at 147. So I'm going for:
        1) Khan
        2) Dawson
        3) William
        4) Gamboa
        5) Berto/Alexander

I agree it is all an opinion, with that said....

            This thread is very interesting, I couldn't make a pick. Let me start off by saying Edwin Valero could have ran through all the divisions up until and through 140. Now, under the unfortunate circumstances, my point is moot, so maybe;
the undisputed champ of super six
donaire could do it, gamboa is a possibility
Bradley or the guy that beats him...

Look at it like this, it can be anybody, whether deserving or not - lets just imagine Boxer A is ranked at #1, goes and takes a fight with PWILL, and just assuming Williams beats him, all Williams needs to do is fight some big name, safe fights and guess what? he is #1 in 2013. Boxing isn't a tournament where you're forcefully pit against the best, all it takes is one great win, and a few decent wins, to hold your position.

Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. will still hold that title.

Linares didn't look all that good against Lorenzo, but I believe in him. Dude is that good; I do see him going far. Just has to rebuild his confidence.

Dawson by far. As the 168lbers start moving up to LHW, Dawson will spark them all.

The road to p4p #1 for the welter and surrounding weight classes is much more difficult.
