Arturo Gatti vs Paulie Malignaggi (prime vs. prime)

Two very popular Northeastern fighters of Italian descent...with vastly contrasting styles.

How do you see this fight going?

...and how crazy would Boardwalk Hall be that night?!

I don't think Gatti could catch up to him and Malignaggi has a very sturdy chin if he happened to. I think Paulie probably wins like 116-112.

Gatti maybe beats Paulie by UD, IDK about a KO....I mean Paulie went 12 with Cotto with a broken Jaw. I think Paulie has enough skills to dance around the ring with Gatti. I think Gatti would need to go to the body a lot and pressure the light punching Paulie.....

This is a very tough fight to call. At his very best, I'd probably pick Paulie to win a decision.

lol you people are ridiculous if you think Gatti would KO him. Malignaggi would beat him in Diaz fashion. Remember, a prime Gatti got KO'ed by Manfredy in like 6 or 7 rounds. And a prime Malignaggi actually had power. Even when he wasn't stopping fighters, he was stunning them a lot (Cotto, first N'Dou fight). He didn't start declining until the second N'Dou fight, where he started having hand problems and bad training.

I am with you on that. I think it's an interesting fight.

You could argue Gatti's prime was much much lower than where he ended up, but then again Angel Manfredy and some others beat him there.

And I think Paulie is every bit as good as Angel and some of the other cats Gatti lost to.
