Simple Fact As To Why Boxing Is So Epic And Historic

I watch espn everyday. I have it on that channel at least 2 hours a day. Damn there everyday you hear big events being compared to legends of the sport of boxing.

That's my simple analogy. Also why I feel that MMA won't ever overtake boxing. Could you imagine hearing the likes of Brock Lesnar 50 years from now as an iconic figure?

So many boxing spawned phrases and analogies have worked their way into mainstream society. Far more so than any other sport.

No kidding. Since I got into boxing I've been noticing how often phrases like "throwing in the towel" or "up against the ropes" or "roll with the punches" are used in situations that have nothing to do with boxing. It's way cool.

Many other sports broadcasters liken a classic game or match to a "great heavyweight fight".
