Shane not throwing punches had nothing to do with him being past his prime. The dude struggles against boxers. Hell Miguel Cotto outboxed him.

Watch the fight again. I watched it several times. There was no left hook open to throw with out getting blasted in return.

Could they make it closer in their primes? Sure. Is Floyd still better then both with the style to beat both absolutely.

I totally agree with you.I already said that the outcome for the Mosley fight would have been the same but closer.Prime Mosley would have let his hands go more just a fact.Mosley was tentative the whole fight I think May would have always figured out Mosley and took the win( I say that because of how he won on May1)but it would have been closer IMO.Oscar would have been alot more trouble young and prime he had hella movement(which is just one way to beat Floyd IMO)great jab,and great boxing ability.Whould Floyd be in and have the skill set to win both fights yes he is a great fighter and could have fought in any era.But he has a hard time with both fights IMO.

Mosley has always been tentative against good boxers like Forrest and Winky in his prime. It's like he doesn't know what to do in there, so he loads up on single shots.

That cat is not beating the Floyd who Mosley just fought.

Also keep in mind the opponent which was a typical Shane opponent at the time even though he was 33 fights in. Everyone loves to say now that Shane has fought so many better fighters than Floyd. At 33 fights, Floyd's resume was far far far superior to Mosley's and when Shane did step up, he started to lose. I love Shane but he's not better than Floyd and wouldnt have won in his prime. This vid shows that. No doubt he has mad speed but Floyd is the far superior boxer who can do alot more things.

Senior was right about shane being jittery & Roger was right about him not having no jab to beat Floyd with. In this past fight he tried to do the pawing jab but he telegraphs everything. Everytime he pawed, then Floyd caught him with a jab as soon as he was about to expolde and then followed it with the right hand that would land flush over & over again. That **** had nothing to do with prime. Floyd just is a better pure boxer. Then again, if you watch the Margarito fight. He fought the same way as he did with Floyd. He's definitely much better in his prime but Floyd is a bad style matchup for him. Every good fighter with boxing skills will give him trouble due to his style. If you can pop that jab & box then Shane will have problems

A prime mosley finishes gorilla-dog what was started in the 2nd round.

Floyd would use his movement and even faster handspeed (he's not as quick as he used to be) to win a decision. People forget how fast and hard to hit a prime Mayweather was.

I want to say Oscar would have given Floyd a harder time, but the only version of Oscar I see doing that is the one who had Floyd Sr in his corner, and of course against Floyd Jr that wouldn't happen. I say this because Floyd Sr is the one who taught Oscar to keep fighting on in the late rounds and pull the trigger.

First of all, Shane was a confirmed steroid user, and it was quite strange how he gassed after 2 rounds with Floyd after drug testing after he pounded Margarito's face for 9 in fight before.

Second of all, he was 38 and Floyd 33. Floyd is 38 now, lets see how he does with Pacquiao, but it's not really a fair fight. Does todays Floyd beat 2010 Mosley? Most likely. If he doesn't get KOed he's the more skilled guy.
