Would Khan vs Ortiz be like Oscar vs Vargas?

Call me crazy but Khan reminds me of a young Oscar and Ortiz has many times been compared to Fernando Vargas. Could a fight between the two play out similar to Oscar vs Fernando?

Yes Khan being the young Oscar De La Hoya knocking out Vargas.

Seriously? Khan beat Ortiz everytime as an amatuer, Ortiz is over-rated because he is American, Khan is under-rated because he is Pakistani, Khan would beat Ortiz everyday of the week!

They are BOTH over-rated. Right now Ortiz is fragile mentally after the Maidana beating but I think if they fought Ortiz would land heavy blows that Khan would not be able to cope with. It is a near 50 50 fight but i can't see Ortiz being KOd by Khan but I can see Khan getting KOd so my money would be on Ortiz.

Not really. Oscar was the epitome of the "boxing 101" book. Khan, despite his chin, still happens to get the feeling to brawl sometimes. As in stand in front of his opponent and just **** for a while.

Oh yeah, Khan fan over there, this ain't the amateurs anymore. Khan would have hell with Ortiz and I can't say that I am a fan of Ortiz either.

I think Khan and Ortiz are closer in skill level than what DLH and Vargas were. Ortiz has fast hands himself and a lot of pop on his punches. I think they'd make for a good fight.

Ortiz is a strong puncher, and Khan has a glass chin. Oscar didn't have a glass chin. I think Ortiz can crack that chin, but I also think Khan can crack Ortiz's heart once more. It is an intriguing fight, and I would have to study them more to make a solid prediction. I would want to see this match, but I doubt GBP would put two of their future stars against each other. They're already talking about putting Khan against lightweights, which is bull****. This dude needs to be fighting Junior WWs, or move back down to 135, which is impossible due to his frame now.
