Man I understand boxing is a business but I wish more fighters sounded like this guy!! He just wants to fight the best to prove he's the best, right now Devon is the hungriest fighter I've seen in years. U don't see many guys with 2 belts looking for fights in a division so full of cowards. Bradley don't want to fight Alexander, Khan wants Bradley to fight Alexander, Khan won't shut up about Maidana and let the man recover from his back injury, what is really going on here. I like Bradley but when you take into consideration he dropped his title instead of facing Alexander for more money that was cool, Then Alexander takes your old belt and adds another one to his collection and u fight a welterweight who nobody's heard of ever, so what he's undefeated at best Bradley's making 300-400k and he might get his head torn off lol.

The tournament is a good idea but really Bradley and Alexander would be seeded 1 and 2 and Ortiz Khan would be 3 and 4 but Khan is talking about Maidana instead of Ortiz. In which case if this were a tennis tournament the 1 and 2 seeds would not face each other until the final if they won. So IMO a better tournament would have Bradley fighting Khan or Maidana in the first round but not Alexander. Since Maidana is under contract to fight Maidana when he gets over his injury as far as the tournament is concerned Khan fighting Alexander would make sense. But I don't see that happening. Alexander would be up for it but Khan would run a mile.

I'm all for the tournament, I think it's a great idea that should be seriously talked about by HBO, just look at Showtime with their 360 series, its awesome - HBO doesn't need a tv show to attract fans to a division as deep as 140, but it will make it more interesting for us fans. Give us a 30 minute show once a month prior to a big bout, give us some insight into the camps...
          Victor Ortiz
          Amir Khan
          Devon Alexander
          Timothy Bradley
          Marcos Maidana
Lamont Peterson or Michael Katsidis...(I know people are going to disagree with Peterson, but I can't think of any one else right now that fits into this scenario)
if u disagree, let me know what your "Super Six" would look like, it really doesn't have to be 6 though...
          I agree.

I do not think that Devon is over-hyped, just that he has not actually passed the sterner tests as yet. The fact that he screaming for those sterner tests speaks volumes. He is a beast.

I love the super-six, and what a great pre-tournament open press interview that was..... 6-way is fine, but I would probably prefer a 4-way tourney.

Is boxing the only sport that holds a tournament that takes longer than a full calendar year to complete?

These are my four..... Khan / Alexander / Bradley / Maidana.

Bradley - Khan..... Alexander - Maidana..... with the winners facing off.

I think a 6 way tourney with Ortiz and another fighter would be great.

As long as Devon doesn't become complacent and as long as he keeps working on his craft and his skills he can become a special fighter.

Only time will tell but I have high hopes for him.

It would be great also, it would just mean that we have to wait ages until the two best 140 pounders actually fight each other.

Bradley and Alexander should not be matched up until the final, presuming they make it that far.

yeah I'm liking this kid even more now. He is my favourite at 140. He should have no probs with Kotelnik. Kotelnik has a good chin so I don't know if he will be able to KO him but should comfortable outbox him.

Good interview. Now if we can only get Bradley, Ortiz, Maidana to agree to a 140 pound tournament. Hopefully HBO can work something out.

See that's what we love to hear, it's not about trippin over money, it's about being the best at what you do. I hope his attitude stays that way, usually changes after receiving that first big check, then they start referring to themselves in the third person or calling themselves "The Uno", or riding around on a segway with a 5 year old rapper named cash flow.

Honestly, what is there not to like about this kid? The skills are there, he's a champion, he's hungry, he's got the right attitude and isn't afraid to back up what he is saying by fighting the best. Really hope the fight with Bradley happens at the end of this year or the beginning of the next.
