Who will you be rooting for: Miguel Cotto or Yuri Foreman?

If you're not rooting for Miguel, I would question why you like the sport of boxing. Miguel is the definition of boxing and what it is supposed to be about. Foreman on the other hand is your average boxer, good but doesn't set himself apart from any other paper champion. Miguel is legacy. Miguel will be remembered for heart, compassion, and pride.

So will you give Cotto credit for actually taking a belt from this title holder who you refer to as a paper champ?

Cotto. For obvious reasons. But Foreman is a good guy and a decent fighter with good boxing skills!

Yes, because I don't think Foreman is a decent fighter. When I called him a paper champ I was talking about his personality and his style of fighting. Don't get me wrong, he isn't Ray Robinson but he has skills he just doesn't have anything to set himself apart. He will never have a fan base and his fighting style, even compared to most boxer first styles isn't very exciting. Say what you want about Miguel but he is a star and has done the sport very well. Miguel will be remembered for many things, not just his boxing per say.

Yuri doesnt seem like a bad guy but Cotto has transformed me into a big fan of him over the years

I'd like to see Cotto do well, he is one of the good guys in the sport and has given the fans many great fights. I don't know how much he has left - he had a few wars early in his career and has been roughed up bad in three of his last four. However, Foreman is a solid fighter and if he pulls this one, deserves full credit and a longer look. Santos and Cotto back to back - even these versions - would be quite impressive.

I like both fighters for various reasons, I wouldn't be mad if the fight ended in a draw. May the best man win. But I am putting points on Yuri to win, I think he'll outbox Cotto. It's unfortunate but thats how I'm seeing it. But Miguel is VERY capable of proving me wrong, I'm excited to see what kind of adjustments to Miguel's game Manny Steward has added. I really want to see how well he does with Manny in the corner.
