Pacquiao has a better resume than Mayweather, Mayweather isn't even the greatest of his era, may be he is top 50 or 100 ATGsComment

Exactly.
Pac has the more impressive resume & wins thanks to stronger names, style & riskier opposition but I still say Floyd Mayweather will be known as the biggest fighter of our generation.Comment

All I take from this thread is that once Floyd beats Pacquiao, he can never get credit for doing it because Manny's fans will then claim Manny wasn't in his prime.
Why should Mayweather even fight him at this point?Comment

And he has no one to blame but himself for that. You had the #1 and #2 P4P in their physical prime in 2009 and 2010. I realize Manny balked at the test but there was a deal to be made there. Floyd would have been a favorite in that fight and once he won no one could tell him **** about not taking challanges or ducking after that. A guy that calls himself money turned down would could have been hundreds of millions of dollars (if there were re matches) because of a few testing dates that could have been worked out if cooler heads prevailed.
Now if they fight Floyd should get crap for it because its 4-5 years too late. Floyd is the A side and he decides if the fight happens or not because he can force his terms on team Pacquiao. This fight could have elevated boxing as a sport in 2010.
Not saying Manny has no fault in this (or Arum) but Floyd's legacy is hurt more by not fighting Manny then the other way around.Comment

What about The Pooch not doing anything @ 135 besides beating David Diaz?i agree. but he didnt do it d. you cant give him credit for hypothetical victories. when he was cleaning up 130, just below him you had names like marquez, barerra, pacquiao, morales, hamed.
at 135 he faced castillo but he didnt face casamayor or stevie johnston. 2 slick fighters. yet pac gets harped on for not facing slick fighters?
floyd's brimming with talent but his resume is really bare compared to other ATG fighters.
@135 JLCastillo >>>>>>>>> David DiazComment
