Gatti said it himself "there will never be another Gatti". Hes right Mike. He wasnt the most skilled or the most talented but damn he was fun to watch and easy to root for.

You have to take his popularity into account as well. Hes one of the guys who helped the sport out tremendously and brought alot of fans to the sport. Its only right a boxer like that gets in the hall.

However with that said Boxing HOF is different. its an individual sport so each fighter is looked at on a case by case basis.

        Resume
        Prestige
        Skills
        Longetivity

**** like that. The Boxing HOF has more variable to it then just who has the best resume.

        Think about that last name.

Gatti. I only think of two people Legendary Mob Boss and the boxer.
Bro lets look at resume, does Gatti's fit the bill of a hall of fame fighter? what about prestige? When has Gatti ever been revered as a top fighter in his division, let alone in boxing in general?

        Skills...........no

Longevity...........no, because a lot of fighters can last in boxing for a long time. The question is are you any good and for how long, two questions Gatti fails miserable at.

Gatti was good, and an exciting fighter, but he is not hall of fame material.

NAME ME A TRULY GREAT BONA FIDE HALL OF FAMER THAT FLOYD FOUGHT IN THEIR PRIME?
No one really sees fights like that in their prime, no ones arguing that point, its like tyson, who did he fight in their prime thats all time great? you have to go back further when there was less politics, and thats when you see it. MAB had been in wars as well, and you say he was in his prime, thats bull****... Just because a fighter goes on to win six more fights (AND WHO DID HE BEAT AFTER HIS LOSS TO PACQUIAO?) doesnt mean hes in his prime. Now pacs most impressive wins are against shot fighters, tyson as well, the easton assassin larry holmes was a shell of himself when he fought tyson. tyson was a shell of himself when he fought holyfield, roy was a shell of himself when he fought others as well. the thing thats most critical you understand is POLITICS STOPS FIGHTS. POLITICS STOPPED MAYWEATHER AND COTTO, WHILE COTTO WAS PRIME, POLITICS STOPPED MARGARITO AND FLOYD BEFORE ANY SCANDALS, hence floyd left TOP RANK.

IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME, THEN RIGHT NOW YOU HAVE DEVON ALEXANDER WANTING TIM BRADLEY, AND YOU WILL NOT SEE THAT FIGHT ANYTIME SOON, BECAUSE OF POLITICS. Back in the day you would have though.

who did delahoya fight in their prime? SHANE? AND SHANE WON, WHO HAS DELAHOYA THE FACE OF BOXING BEATEN IN THEIR PRIME? WHITAKER? LOL NO HE REALLY DIDNT EVEN BEAT WHITAKER EITHER.

Gatti transcended the sport man. The blood and guts warrior? The guy who had epic fight night in and night out. He has a last name that will never be forgotten in Boxing and you ask how is he a hall of famer?

            transcended? lmfaaooooooo.

there's been plenty of blood & guts warriors throughout boxing's long storied 100 plus year of tradition. you just completely shown for the 9,389,323,654 time how little you know of boxing burner.

there's been plenty of blood & guts warrior before & after gatti.

danny red lopez was the gatti back in the 70s & 80s. much better fighter than gatti & he barely just got in the hall of fame. israel vasquez is even more blood & guts than gatti & he beat a legit hall of famer in rafael marquez.

gatti is grossly overrated & should not get in the hall of fame. HE DOESNT HAVE THE RESUME OR SKILL LEVEL to get in.

I see where your're coming from. Resume, skills, etc he lacks big time. All the memories and battles and **** is what the fans all remember though. And him getting ****ed up bad by Oscar and Floyd.

Going by that he doesnt get in. I think theyll let him in though.

              • People like Corrales, people at once upon a time believed them to be very good and that is why he was ranked p4p. But that is similar to Kelly Pavlik who was perhaps overated.
PBF beat Corrales when people believed him to be good. But maybe Corrales wasnt as good as people thought.

But that is a good win for PBF. For PBF to be rated as like he is, of course he would have beat some very good boxers, and Corralles is one of them. But he beat those guys to establish himself. But now he has to beat the best to prove he deserves the respect people have given pbf.
Beating old boys like SSM, and overweight JMMs isnt going to cut the mustard.

exactly. kelly pavlik was as high as 4# p4p at one point. does that mean he's a career great hall of fame fighter?

that is specifically the type of mental gymnastics that flaming *****sexual fan boy fluffers such as burner conjure up in their sick little twisted demented minds.

"ooh look corrales was p4p 5# at one point. that means he's going to the hall of fame!!"

Now im not saying floyd is NOT a great fighter, he is but the level of greatness he & his delusional fan base claim IS WAYYYY OFF BASE.

Just look at his resume & ask yourself this question, name me a a fighter you could rightly classify as a GREAT Hall of Fame fighter that floyd beat in his prime?

                    He doesnt have none.

The 5 best names on Floyd's resume are

                    1. Shane Mosley - bona fide great fighter. HOF.
                    2. Juan Manuel Marquez - bona fide great fighter. HOF.
                    3. Oscar De La HOya - bona fide great fighter. HOF.
                    4. Diego Corrales - very good fighter. Not a true HOF great fighter.
                    5. Jose Luis Castillo - very good fighter. Not a true HOF great fighter.

The 3 true great HOF fighters floyd fought were all past prime & one was severely taken advantage of in abomination of a fight.

Floyd doesnt even have a ATG fighter in his resume yet he & his delusional fan base claim G.O.A.T?

After those 5 best names, the next five are

                    6. Hatton
                    7. Arturo Gatti
                    8. Genaro Hernandez
                    9. Zab Judah
                    10. Carlos Baldomir

His resume is really thin when you start trying to compare it to other ATG fighters.

None of those fighters i listed above are true bona fide great HALL OF FAME fighters.

Floyd is a great fighter, HOF, with ZERO A+ wins vs ATG fighters. I dont deny floyd's greatness, just the level of greatness he & his delusional fan boy fluffers thinks they deserve.
Honestly Clayton. You just wanted to see how many hits you could get on you thread huh?
