why is it we don't have trilogies in boxing anymore?

back then boxing use to have a number of trilogies that were both epic and fun to watch. but now, we don't have that many trilogies in boxing where it's two fighters who are evenly match and fight till one calls it a series.

the only on i can think of recently is Vazquez-Marquez and that went on to carry a fourth fight.

    what you're thoughts on this?

Bc fighters choose carefully who to fight now, and even matchups are very rare.

Many anticipated fights nowadays end up one sided. This wasn't the case back then when the much anticipated fights actually were very close to the point where rematches were necessary.

This. Their are hardly any warrior's now-a-days. Most fighters cherry pick to avoid fighting certain fights/fighters they can't win and fight them past their prime. Only if more fighters were like Cotto. I wish he would rematch Margarito, maybe beat him and we could get a triology there!

Most recent fights, Holt-Torres III did not happen because Torres pulled out. That would have been a good Trilogy.

Guys that lose, or are given a tough fight, are not quick to want a rematch, let alone trilogy. Pacquiao waited what, 4 years to give Marquez a rematch? Forget about a trilogy at this point. Khan didn't want to avenge his loss vs Prescott, now Prescott isn't even undefeated and lost to a no name. Ortiz is not going to be put anywhere near Maidana. So before we think about trilogies, we need rematches...and we barely get rematches nowadays. A lot of fighters don't want to fuck with the guy who beat them and it's sad there's just a few like Williams(Quintana and wants Martinez), Mayweather(Castillo), Mosley(Wright and Forrest), etc.
