    Did Mayweather do enough?

Obviously my favorite fighter Floyd dominated just like I predicted and it looks like he gained some hard core boxing fans respect on this site.

My question is do you think he did a good enough job to make some main stream fans or atleast take some of Gatti's fans or did he atleast do enough to make people hate him so much that they will just pay to see him fight and hope he loses?

I know he dominated but I cant get a complete good take on how much he actually fought. Did he go toe to toe like he has in has past 3 fights when around the 4th round hits or did he just box the whole fight? Was it exctiting to watch? Did he do enough to have his next fight on PPV if it's a decent opponent?

He was very respectful towards Gatti during and after the fight. He will definitely have gained some fans.

The fight was entertaining, though very one-sided. Gatti showed he can still take a beating. His corner was right to end it, because he would have been hurt very badly. I really like Gatti, so I'm happy Mayweather didn't talk trash about him at any point.

But did Floyd go toe to toe at all or was it just all boxing?

floyd ran the whole time and gatti wasnt quick enough of a boxer. he shouldnt have boxed. floyd backed up and punished gatti as gatti tried to box from a distance which is not how gatti fights, gatti should have went to war.

I didnt see the fight but I agree. If Floyd ran while Gatti stayed on the outside and boxed then how could Floyd dominate and stop him? Doesnt make sense to me

Pretty hard to judge. Gatti may as well have had his hands tied because he didn't use them for anything. Floyd stayed mainly in range and just hammered him with combos and big leads.

I'm a huge Gatti fan, and this is just plain wrong. Floyd fought a smart fight. He moved in plenty of times on Gatti, and had his back to the ropes several times. He's just far too good defensively. Mayweather really outclassed him in that fight. No disrespect to Gatti, because there's plenty to like about the guy.

I'm not sure how the fight would have turned out of Gatti had tried to brawl him. I think he would have been KO'd, probably. He might have hurt Mayweather a bit, and landed some shots to get the crowd into it, but the end result probably would have been worse for him. Mayweather looked like he really fit 140lbs well tonight. The other fighters at 140 should be worried.
