This just shows you how money hungry the sport has become... We all know that these guy,s put there asses on the line and deserves these huge purses but, in the good old days they had to face each other - no matter what...now some fighters avoided other fighters and we can point them out but why bother but, for the majority of fighters fought each other... So we all get deprived of these fights that would,ve been shown on wide world of sports in the days... It just goes to show you that times has changed for the worst not better... So long to fighters fighting each other for supremacy...just remembering...
Fights were better in the old days

the sweeping left hook counter that floyd
threw when he knocked out hatton is all i needed
to see for this generation. that is by far
the best and most difficult punch to land. The anticipatiin, balance and timing
was incredible.
the emergence of pac is also a bonus.Comment

Fighters had more to lose back in the day~ boxing is still a brutal sport especially in terms of sustained violence~Comment

The sport has always been money hungry, it's just that times have changed and now fighters don't have to fight as often since they get paid more.
Many fighters back in the 30s and 40s fought so damn often, but I don't know how that was really good for fans like us, since the fights weren't on TV (pre-Blue Ribbon) anyway. Unless you lived near where the fight was taking place, you weren't seeing it.Comment
