I wonder if the PEDS allegations have something to do with this? A part of me can’t help but think he’s retiring now so he won’t have to take the tests and fight Floyd. Why should he do that when he’s ****** rich already and can probably make 10 mill fighting Margarito? I can’t say that I blame him.

It’s just a shame we’ll never see one of the more intriguing super fights in boxing history. Here you have two all time greats that were near the same age and dominating the same division.

This is like the NBA cancelling the NBA Finals or the NFL canceling the superbowl. Wow!

I like Manny but my heart tells me he DUCKED the PEDS tests for a reason and once he grew in weight he ducked great fighters (mayweather/mosley) as well.

Without all the ducking and PEDS allegations, he had a helluva career.

If the payday is right and Pacquiao beats Floyd, you have to consider a rematch or Pacquiao facing the #1 @ 140lbs after all those guys fight one another.
      Marciano right?

He'll go into retirement until floyd is like 37 and then call out floyd accepting OST. Floyd would probably still win

Good PR move, makes it more important for floyd-pac fight to happen.

If pac says he'll retire, I'll believe him.. money would be least of a factor as he's not likely to get broke in a couple of decades with the cost of living in the philippines.

He's ****** rich right now, plus he can earn money with his shopping mall and other businesses, tv gigs and endorsements guaranteed.

i don't know if he can get rich in politics, but there's at least one in the philippines who's close to becoming a billionaire in dollars at a very fast rate.. LOL

To me that it the one and only possible question mark hanging over Paq's career, if he cant get Floyd to stop making new demands I would like to see him fight JMM, give JMM a catchweight of 144, Paq could make it no problem, and at this point in his career he would destroy JMM. Of course, Floyd would then claim "thats because I softened him up first".
