No! 50/50 is just ***ing fine!
Actually cat daddy, I think Floyd can make that kind of money fighting Sergio Martinez.
Pacquiao vs Margarito is gonna go about the same numbers as the Clottey fight, which was 700,000ppv. As many have noted, Floyd fought the guys who made Pacquiao who he is today and did better numbers!!! So I do think it is fair that Team Mayweather tries to negotiate a better deal.

@Socram, it hurt him because he relinquished the P4P title. So, now he is trying to win it back. Some people think of him as #1 and some don't. He is not concensus #1 anymore. That's how he hurt himself. He can claim anything he wants but there are more people now that don't think of him as #1 than before he retired. If he wouldn't have retired, he would be definitive #1 until someone/anyone beat him. He gave it away in retirement and is having trouble to get everyone to agree he is the best. You can make a case either way and all your points will be valid. That is my point...

It's not Manny's fault as he moved up in weight he fought the guys later than Floyd did. Floyd retiring hurt himself and he wouldn't even be back if he didn't throw all his money away and end up in serious debt. I believe 60-40 to the winner is right and fair. The problem with boxing is the champion usually gets 66% and the challenger 34%. I have always been a fan of winner getting lion's share. That would help prevent fighters like Clottey, etc who mail it in because their check is guaranteed.
This is not champion and challenger. Floyd is not fighting for belts anymore. People think that Pac deserves 50/50 because of his popularity but he's really only popular among filippinos and mayweather haters. His numbers just don't back it up. All the *******s in the world can't change his numbers. Numbers are fact and they just aren't better than floyds. So why do people think he deserves 50/50? This for a guy who refuse to give Hatton 50/50? wow

@BigDunn... JMM made his name off of Pacman...in fair comparsion, the casual fan had no idea who JMM was until he went to war with Pacman. I have to say Pacman made JMM a big name...

Just off the top of my head knowing that Garcal is a lawyer 1.4 is 150,000 greater than 1.25 that is more than 10% any alwyer would use such a point as justification to get more especially after the other side that was what you should compare.

All these issues were known when they called off the fight in the first place Floyd was always going to demand more after Mosley, this should not be shocking to anyone.

                Slugger:

I disagree because JMM is mexican. The mexican fanbase (followed by the PR fanbase) is the largest purchasers of boxing ppv's in the USA. Pac and JMM both got bigger after the 2nd fight because it was so good. Also, with floyd out, HBO was looking for a new face to push. I think casual fans didn't know JMM until he drank his own urine on 24/7.

It took a magnitude earthquake and berto to pull out for Mayweather to fight an "elite" WW.Like it or not mosley was mosley.I gave floyd his props.

Now there are questions to be answered.

                  Question of power.
Why after 41 fights,a record undefeated, and ppv records does he want to "clean up" the sport? (could a legitimate SMART mayweather fan answer that)

Pac agreed to floyd's blood test terms. what more?

Why arent they mentioning the cotto vs pac ppvs?

That fight wasnt a flop. And if im mistaken, floyd gets a bump in ppv's when there's hispanic stars or newcombers on the undercards. Please ppl dont come and say it's been all floyd raking in ppv's.Mosley has a solid name for himself also.Look up the floyd's previous undercards on the fights and you'll see hispanics on the undercard loaded.

How does this look seriously? While the mayweather fans are so concerned about how much money he deserves they dont get a damn dime out of it.Like it matters the world to them. Amazing that they want to see the fight happen but argue about split? which prevents the fight from happening I could see the fight happening at a 40/ 40 split with 10 in the air.Dont't wanna lose that valuble 10? then do a 50/50.Its that simple. They both got star power.

Man,i cross ppl all the time about this fight. From casual to unfamiliar boxing fans. And they all have one thing in common,"make the fight happen".One way or another.

Why are you so bothered by my sigs? Am I the only one with
sigs on here? This is a boxing site and my sigs are about boxing.
I've seen sigs with racist pics and all other sorts of pics and your
calling me out about having sigs of a fight that just happened?
If you were attentive then you would know that I always do theme
sigs with certain mega fights AND I've done them before without
Floyd in them. You seem to be bothered by them? Why? Because
it's exactly what I said, you hate Floyd and YOUR the one really on
his nuts. For a person to get mad at another person because he
has sigs of a certain fighter is a hate obsession. Apparently you
haven't been reading any of my posts so don't try to act like
you know me. Seems to me that YOUR the fan because I'm not
mad at you for liking or having sigs of any fighter but you do
to me? Again, you are a SUCKER.

@SwitchSouthPaw... numbers are fact but are just numbers. My point, neither will make anything close to $40 to $50 million without each other. That's a f**king FACT and really, the only fact that matters. But Floyd is broke and to make outrageous demands doesn't seem too bright. Let's just hope that both fighters can put their egos in check and make the fight happen. It takes two to tango and two to agree. They will both be at fault if they don't fight and we will all argue who is and isn't right. But who are we, anyway? The real losers if the fight doesn't happen...
