THIS IS MY CONCERN:
Manny Pacquiao said that he is willing to go up to 14 days "as long as the amount of blood taken is not to large". This condition has been overlooked. Also, what is the frequency that Pac will agree to?
For example: Mayweather gave blood three times within a 3-week period. Is manny OK with giving Blood four or five times in a month? If he is legitimately bothered by the process, I can see how a weekly blood draw would be discomforting.
And, is there a standard amount that is taken for a drug test? What is that amount? Does Manny consider that amount too large?
It just seems to me that Bob Arum is doing a lot of criticizing, but very little self-education, and very little education of his fighter.
Six months after the initial requests, there should be a greater amount of knowledge and certainty within the Pacquiao camp. Don't you agree?
I know that the WADA standard is about a teaspoon of blood. I also concede that I saw a couple of vials sitting on the table (during 24/7) that definitely appeared to be more than a teaspoon.
Manny said OK to 14 days. With conditions. Let's not all get too excited until we understand what those conditions are. A lot remains up in the air.
