Its known Paulie has no power but defensively, this guy doesn't even use his arms or gloves to block punches, I watched his 3 losses and Paulie tries to duck or sway away from punches, he never blocks

Paulie's whole style is based off that too. He's not even flexible enough to be fluid in his motion. -

Paulie's strength as always been his speed and ability to keep a good distance. That's basically it though. He doesn't have the biggest punch, as is always noted, but the main reason is because he doesn't set his punches. He boxes on the back foot, throwing jab, one-two combinations whilst keeping his distance. If someone tries to close him down and take the fight on the inside, Paulie is pretty decent at tying up and holding his ground.
At the end of the day, if you can't set your punches to do enough damage, you'll always struggle against very good and elite fighters (ie Hatton, Khan & Cotto). Paulie would still beat a good portion of the top 10 light welters out there and I wouldn't write him off against either Tim Bradley or Devon Alexander and I think he could beat Maidana as well.
As for the Magic Man's defence, or lack of, his technique is to slip punches and to keep the distance so he doesn't get caught in the first place.Comment

Malignaggi doesn't have heart. He displayed no heart against Khan when he retreated to the ropes to allow Steve Smoger to put an end to his pitiful, gutless effort.
Malignaggi quit against Hatton and he did the same thing against Khan.Comment
