i always have said, that since mma guys get to wear those small gloves with all that tape underneath, they might as well bring back or create another pugilist league or something.

take the ground game out of mma, and allow old school bare knuckle rules
with dirty boxing, elbows, kicks, knees, swings, all of the above, just no ground game. that would be tight. imho.

i have old school books about the bare knuckle days, some really fascinating stuff, grueling fights, and the evolution of modern boxing.

since guys are fighting with next to no padding on their hands, why the **** not? they allow elbows and knees in muy thai, they allow kicking guys heads when on the ground in japan mma, elbows and knees, why the heck not have a bare knuckle league, pugilist league or something akin to it.

that is what makes mma exciting, is it's moments of boxing or stand up fighting...........

lets bring pugilism back in all it's glory..........
