Those two clearly want to fight the best, while we know other fighters are duckers and constantly price themselves out! Its sick, also I hope both those fighters take a tune-up after going through a war with each other.

    They get tons from me.

Their fight last weekend was like a classic war! Only if Abner didn't backpedal in the middle rounds and threw like the opening and the last 3 rounds, perhaps, he could've won that fight.

But damn what warriors these guys! We need more like them to augment Pac's and May's egos.

I think that was just his reaction to a position he had never been in before. I don't think he'll be doing too much of that in the rematch. His corner had to have realized that Abner had more success pushing Perez back with body shots and aggression than him just sticking and moving.

        Quite right.

I think that's the reason why Abner let his hands go from the 9th rd onwards, if his corner realized that, then that's a good call

mares gets tons of respect for taking the fight against perez but that would not have happend if perez didnt have the title so lets not forget that. perez on the other hand beat mabuza and agbeko to win the title and chose to fight a young dangerous prospect as his first defense which showed a lot of balls. as far as i can tell mares hasnt been in tough until this fight here.

Lopez has never been in a tough fight in his career on paper.
