Back to Boxing....... Grant is actually a good fighter, his size and punch pose problems for many. His trouble was that he fought Lewis when completely green, and Lewis played his favourite foul on him. He caught him around the neck with one hand and pulled his face down into an uppercut. He should have been DQ. It was really dirty.
THEN.... he fought Jameel McCline when he was good enough to break Grant's ankle with the very first punch he threw. This really disheartened him, sooo...
who comes along but the bowld Teddy Atlas, with his "sychollergizing system".
After about 5-6 "fights" with stiffs, and listening to Teddy spout off every chance he got, like Svengali, he then fought a good unbeaten guy, Dominick Guinn. It was a very good fight until poor Grant walked right into a HUGE punch which nearly took his head off,- out cold.
The punch reminded me of the one Sonny Liston walked into when fighting Leotis Martin. Flattened him, a once in a lifetime punch for both Martin and Guinn.
I'd like to see Grant do well. He's a nice fellow.
