Khan: "I killed myself making 135 lbs, I have never been dropped/hurt/wobbled @ 140"

he spars with big hitters all the time surly khan himself can feel a difference and its obviously very logical that a fighter killing himself to make a weight will effect his chin. Fighting at a comfortable weight will improve it that’s just simple logicComment

If that's the case Khan's chin was improved at 135 when he got caught by Barerra.
Doesn't sound convincing does it.
It takes more then a couple of punches to show the improvement of a chin.Comment

You do know when Amir Khan or any other boxer spars they have their chin protected by a head guard right?
I'm not saying it hasn't improved, but to say your chin has improved when it hasn't been tested by some real power is ludicrous.Comment

yes i know and you do know he wore the same head gear when he was sparring for his 135 bouts as he was for his 140 bouts so HE can tell the difference he is the one taking the punches not you.
What do you think Khans just making this **** up to look good? Or do you think he actually believes and can feel himself taking punches betterComment
-
well yeah and that’s cool im not saying you should take khans word for it im just saying if a guy is killing himself to make weight his chin will be effected and now he is fighting at a more comfortable weight it makes perfect sense that his chin will improve don’t get me wrong im not trying to say khan has developed a Lamotta type chin after gaining 5lbs lol put i believe it has in the least improved slightlyComment

But 5lbs is barely anything, and it ouldn't make the difference between being chinny or not.
I'm a Khan fan, and I hope he can go onto great things, but this statement doesn't ring true to me at all.Comment
