Smart move for Alexander. This guy beat Maidana so it bumps him up the WBA rankings too so fights with Khan will be more likely to manadatory after Khan whips Maidana.

it was a close fight but it was quite clear that kotelnik was a couple of rounds ahead and was quite easy to judge.
maidana just doesnt know how to deal with a half decent boxer with a SOLID chin and defence hence why he lost to kotelnik.
kotelnik has apparently never been down ameteur or pro and has never ever really been hurt his whole pro career.
this will be a good test for alexander and it mite also give some light as to whos the better out of khan and alexander as khan did a top job on kotelnik and the only way devon can top khans domination of kotelnik is if he knocks kotelnik out which i highly doubt he will!
this could actually go really wrong for alexander because if he doesnt do so well in this fight it really isnt going to look good for him because of khans domination of kotelnik.Comment

If somehow Kotelnik beats Alexander (e.g. by cutting him badly, or by DQ), Kotelnik would get the WBC and IBF belts. If he rematches Khan it'd be like handing Khan the undisputed JWW crown, he'd have WBC/WBA and IBF belts. Perhaps even the Ring belt, after Manny is stripped of it. LOLComment
