I would like to let the record show that I was not one of the few fans who was foolish enough to actually trick myself into thinking Gatti even had the slightest shot in this fight. Some quotes from my posts over the past months:

Anybody who thinks that Gatti is going to win this fight is living in a DREAM WORLD. I would not pick Gatti against most of the lesser fighters at Jr. Welterweight, let alone against Mayweather who actually has talent. Gatti is the boxing equivalent of a bad joke that won't go away-- and my problem is that I think after Gatti gets murdered in this fight he will still be popular amongst half of these idiots! Fact is that Gatti wins no more then two rounds of this fight, and that is at best-- I would not be shocked if Gatti got shut-out against Floyd.
If I had to bet on either Gatti KO'ing Floyd or Gatti not winning a single round, I am pretty sure that I would take the latter over the former. There have been some upsets lately, and I have been ICE COLD with picks since Corrales, but this is pretty much a done deal for Floyd. He is going to take care of his bussiness and he is going to do it by making Gatti look bad. (well, even worse then Gatti already looks I mean)
I can not imagine Gatti/Hatton for one reason and one reason only: I see no reason why the winner of a superfight (Hatton) would want to fight the loser of a superfight (Gatti) when they are in the same division. After Mayweather beats Gatti as he certainly will, then we will see a bout of Mayweather vs Hatton for the throne at 140 with Cotto the young gun in waiting (assuming he wins next weekend).
This is a joke? Mayweather has conquered MUCH better fighters (and harder hitting I might add) then Arturo Gatti. Gatti can take Floyd's shots better then Floyd can take his?!? Are you kidding me? Gatti has been dropped and beaten by the likes of Mickey Ward and Ivan Robinson. Where as Floyd has beaten pound for pounders like Jose Luis Castillo and Diego Corrales! All this talk about the undertalented and overhyped Gatti as having a chance reminds me of the push that was made before the De La Hoya/Hopkins bout when those selling the PPV were trying to convince the boxing public that De La Hoya stood a chance. The funny part is that Oscar probably had a hell of a better chance against Hopkins then Gatti does against Floyd. Gatti is famous for getting beat up, Floyd is famous for beating people up! Do the math people, it is not hard to see what the script for this one is gonna be! Gatti better take a page out of his early career (and Cotto's present) and come in for this fight about twenty pounds heavier because that is the only chance he has of avoiding a coma!
Just a few of many such quotes on the subject. I would love to think that I was some sort of boxing guru for figuring this out, but alas-- really it is something that anybody who had functioning eyes and a brain should have known. It was just time for Mayweather to take out the trash at the Junior Welterweight division.

Oh, and I almost for got my two favorites:

If Gatti does anything but lose by KO I will donate every single point I have to you Mooks. This is not even a bet as I want nothing in return (as nobody in their right mind would bet against this), I am merely displaying how confident I am, and every living person should be, about this fights outcome. So let it be known:

IF GATTI DOES ANYTHING BUT GET KO'ED BY FLOYD (THIS INCLUDES LOSING A DECISION) I WILL GIVE EVERY POINT I HAVE TO MOOKS!
Tell you what, I previously had this deal going with somebody else but I doubt they took it all that serious and frankly I am a shifty character. If Gatti wins the fight (by either KO or decision) then I will give you every point that I have (or half if the other guy I said this to, whoever he may be, actually remembers when I said this previously). I am not even suggesting that we bet, just that I am this confident Gatti is in for a beating. In any event...

Again, I can understand somebody picking Gatti, or even a bunch of people picking Gatti. But I cannot, will not, and will never understand that being the most chosen option!
Looks like I will be hanging on to those points for a little while longer at least...

Next time just listen and keep your mouth shut.
