This does not surprise me one iota. The politics that Malloy has been playing since he became Executive Director are outrageous, only judges, referees or inspectors that kissed his ass would be assigned events. And God forbid that you irk him in any way and you are “out” forever.
He makes up rules on the fly, depending on which fighter or trainers are involved in a question, thus violating the rules and regulations of the Boxing Commission.
Now he has assigned a rookie as Acting Chief Inspector for the FIU event tonight in Miami, this guy has, at most 2 years experience, but since he kisses Malloy’s ass he gets the gig, while Inspector with 10-15 years experience are relegated to second seed positions. These are absolutely NO loyalty with this guy. Tom Malloy needs to go and NOW! There are rumors that he lied about his experience in New York to get the Executive Directors job here in Florida. He is a disgrace to the profession and the Commission, but as long as politicians are involved, this guy will be around, at least until a new Governor is elected and sworn in.
